Enjoy a delightful winter treat with airfryer chestnuts. Using an Airfryer for the roasting process offers a quick and practical recipe that is shorter than using the oven, giving you a cozy feeling like a warm blanket.


Airfryed chestnuts

Ingredients

1 lbs chestnuts

Water, room temp.


Instructions

  1. Rinse the chestnuts and drain

  2. Hold the chestnuts firmly and cut horizontally on the round egdes. Make sure you do not cut deep otherwise they got separated after roasting.

  3. Put them into bowl filled with room temp. water. Soak them aside 30 minutes.

  4. Preheat your airfyer 400 F/200 C.

  5. In the meantime drain and dry the chestnuts with a towel.

  6. Place the them in the airfryer basket with the round edges facing upwards.

  7. Roast them about 15 minutes. Check occassionally to avoid overcooking.

  8. Peel them while they are still warm. If you wish, store them in an airtight container and save for later.
